Relative Positions, 25-channel video, 8 min., 2008
Using the video sharing website YouTube.com as a resource, I appropriated twenty-five different versions of the most recent total lunar and solar eclipse. The videos and their companion audio tracks are compiled into a single file based on their length, eventually building into a bedlam of sound and imagery. From the professional astronomer to the amateur stargazer, Relative Positions reveals our collective interest in the phenomenon of our universe and our tremendous urge to share them.
